Is the African American Studies program office open?
At this time, program staff are working remotely, but are available to answer questions you may have. Please contact Deirdre James, Program Administrator at dejames@bu.edu or call 617.358.1421.
How will classes change?
All classes will be held online through the rest of the spring semester. Faculty have contacted students in their classes to inform them of how this transition will work. Many of our professors are holding virtual office hours and/or making their lectures available online. Students are encouraged to look for communications from their professors for any changes.
For information regarding online instruction and technical questions, please see the IT support page for students.
Graduate students: Students should make advising appointments directly with their advisors.
Will you be holding any events for the spring 2020 semester?
At this time, we have canceled all Spring 2020 program events. We are hoping to reschedule them for Fall 2020.
