Upcoming Event | Writing Black Lives: A Symposium and Exhibit

Please join us March 27th for “Writing Black Lives: A Symposium and Exhibit.” In response to the current explosion in books and films focused on Black and African American people, BU’s African American Studies Program is hosting a symposium that reflects on the work of those who have successfully told these stories. What are the unique challenges faced dealing with the interplay between race and life experience? What distinct techniques emerged from a complicated access to archival sources? Featuring National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize winning authors, this public forum allows readers and audiences to engage with those intimate with the process of writing black lives.
