• GMS PS 742: Clinical Practicum
  This course prepares the PA student to synthesize their basic science and clinical medicine knowledge to approach a patient. The PA student will also learn to create a portion of the medical record. The course utilizes traditional lectures, clinical reasoning sessions, journal clubs and hospital sessions for instruction.
• GMS PS 743: Clinical Practicum II
  This course prepares the PA student to synthesize their basic science and clinical medicine knowledge to approach a patient and builds on what they have learned in ICM and CP I. The PA student will also learn to create the entire medical record and develop their oral presentation skills. The course utilizes traditional lectures, clinical reasoning sessions, journal clubs and hospital sessions for instruction.
• GMS PS 744: Preventive Medicine
  This course prepares the PA student to apply knowledge and counseling skills to prevent disease and encourage healthy behaviors. The course utilizes traditional lectures, case-based discussions and interactive projects for instruction.

• GMS PS 800: Internal Medicine 1

• GMS PS 801: Advanced Clinical Medicine
  This course prepares the PA student to apply knowledge of the epidemiology, clinical presentation, pathophysiology, diagnostic evaluation, differential diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of human disease to clinical patients at the next level. The course utilizes lectures and case-based discussions while the content focuses on pediatrics, geriatrics and emergency medicine.

  This course prepares the PA student for professional clinical practice. Concepts taught include but are not limited to advanced clinical reasoning, billing and coding, health care reform as it relates to the delivery of primary care and how to apply for and successfully garner employment as a PA and hospital credentialing. The course utilizes traditional lectures, case-based discussions and patient presentations for instruction. .
