GRS LG 610: German Translation Workshop
Advanced German language training. Pleasures and frustrations of different languages' and cultures' incommensurability are investigated through systematic practice in translating from German to English. Translation as technical skill, creative performance. Variety of genres; MFA students emphasize literary translation.
