• SED TL 581: Student-Teaching Practicum II: ESL, Pre-K-6
  Supervised student teaching. Minimum of 150 hours required. Graduate Prereq: Open only to matriculated graduate students who have completed prerequisites in an ESL Licensure program. 2 cr.
• SED TL 582: Student-Teaching Practicum I: ESL, 5-12
  Supervised student teaching. Minimum of 150 hours required. Can be taken only in conjunction with a Practicum I course. Graduate Prereq: Open only to matriculated graduate students who have completed prerequisites in ESL licensure program. 4 cr.
• SED TL 583: Student-Teaching Practicum II: ESL, 5-12
  Supervised student teaching. Minimum of 150 hours required. Can be taken only in conjunction with a Practicum I course. Graduate Prerequisites: Open only to matriculated graduate students who have completed prerequisites in ESL licensure program. 2 cr.

  Supervised student teaching. Minimum of 150 hours required. Open only to matriculated students who have completed prerequisites. 4cr, 2nd sem.
• SED TL 585: Student-Teaching Practicum II: Modern Foreign Languages, Pre-K-6
  Supervised student teaching. Minimum 150 hours. Open only to matriculated students who have completed prerequisites. Can be taken only in conjunction with a Practicum I course. 2cr, 2nd sem.

  Supervised field experience for students holding professional appointments. Must meet field- of-knowledge requirements and professional preparation that are equivalent to licensure sequence. Sections indicate grade levels of certification (Pre-K-8 or 5-12). Graduate Prereq: Open only to matriculated graduate students who have completed prerequisites. Var cr.
• SED TL 589: Internship/Apprenticeship in TESOL
  Supervised field experience for students holding professional appointments. Must meet field- of-knowledge and professional preparation that are equivalent to certification sequence. Sections indicate grade levels of licensure (Pre-K-8, or 5-12). Graduate Prereq: Open only to matriculated graduate students who have completed prerequisites. Var cr.

  Full-time student-teaching in selected schools. Six weeks; Minimum 150 hours.
• SED TL 609: Student-Teaching Practicum: Modern Foreign Languages, 5-12
  Full-time student-teaching in selected high schools. Six weeks; Minimum 150 hours required.
• SED TL 610: Student-Teaching Practicum: TESOL, Pre-K-6
  Full-time student-teaching in selected schools. Six weeks; Minimum 150 hours required.
• SED TL 611: Student-Teaching Practicum: TESOL, 5-12
  Full-time student-teaching in selected high schools. Six weeks; Minimum 150 hours required.
• SED TL 612: Student Teaching Practicum and Seminar for Domestic Students
  Supervised student teaching in a college or adult education program in English as a second language. Graduate Prereq: Open only to matriculated graduate students who have completed prerequisites. 6 cr.
• SED TL 614: Field Experience and Seminar for International Students
  Field observation in a college or adult education program in English as a second language. Open only to matriculated international graduate students who have completed prerequisites. 4 cr.
• SED TL 635: Introduction to Language Program Management
  Designed to introduce students to all aspects of language program management from academic areas of curriculum planning, student assessment, and program design to the management topics of finance, organizational behavior, and human resources. 4 cr.
• SED TL 700: Clinical Experience in Modern Foreign Languages
  Required of students who wish to apply for standard certification as teachers of a modern foreign langauge. Integrates content area knowledge and pedagogical theory and practice. Involves responsibilities beyond the individual classroom that may include opportunities such as grade-level teamwork, curriculum development, and assessment projects. Minimum 400 hours required. Sections indicate grade levels of certification. (Pre-K-9, 5-12).
• SED TL 701: Clinical Practice in TESOL
  Required of students who wish to apply for standard certification as ESL teachers. Integrates content area knowledge and pedagogical theory and practice. Involves responsibilities beyond the individual classroom that may include opportunities such as grade-level teamwork, curriculum development, and assessment projects. Minimum 400 hours required. • SED TL 835: Advanced Seminar in TESOL Pedagogy
  Methodological issues in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages. In- depth treatment of a variety of curricular, pedagogical, and language program topics. Development and demonstration of curriculum projects. 4 cr.
• SED WL 503: Pre-Practicum in Modern Foreign Languages
  This course supports students in their Modern Foreign Language education teaching pre-practicum. Students complete teaching observations, reflect on- field experiences, evaluate teaching practice against professional teaching standards, and develop and implement micro-teaching lessons to prepare for their practicum.
