Incomplete Coursework
University Policy
If for reasons acceptable to the instructor a student fails to take the final examination or to complete any other required work within a course, he or she receives the I grade. Within the time limit set by the individual school or college, the student must complete the course requirements. If the student does complete the course requirements, the I grade is replaced with the appropriate letter grade.
School of Law Policy
The School of Law does not accept incomplete grades. Exam relief must be arranged through the School of Law Registrar’s Office as specified in the examination policies (see School of Law Academic Regulations, Article VI).
Extensions for submitting final papers must be approved by the instructor or by the Academic Standards Committee. Students are advised to review the School of Law Academic Regulations, Article VIII for details.
