For more than 40 years, Boston University Study Abroad academic internships have offered students comprehensive career-readiness skills, combining technical expertise with essential soft skills. In locations across the globe, students learn how to navigate evolving professional landscapes with a global perspective and adaptability.

Each internship is part of a broader academic experience, typically a 4-unit course within a 16-unit term and is guided by faculty through a structured syllabus.
Upon acceptance to an internship program, students are provided with materials stating the academic expectations and requirements of the internship. These include:
- The placement process
- Suggestions on how to prepare resumes and how to conduct oneself during an interview
- An introduction to daily work life in the host culture and the behavioral expectations placed on the student
- Scheduling is designed to allow students to carry out projects of significance for the employer while allowing normal contact hours for the accompanying classroom-based courses
My time as a Podcast Network Intern at Studio 71 in Beverly Hills exceeded my expectations. Working across many departments, I found a passion for talent relations, allowing me to use both the analytical and creative sides of my brain. By the end of the internship, I developed stronger communication and networking skills as well as self-confidence. Not only am I thankful for my time at Studio 71, but I am also grateful for all the opportunities BU LA gave me.
