Boston University students have the opportunity to take classes through the Keio International Program for the academic year or spring term only, if spaces are available. Various courses taught in English are offered in all aspects of Japanese history, society, culture as well as courses with a focus on international relations, commerce, and governance. Students may also take some coursework in Japanese language.

- All students must enroll according to, and remain in compliance with, the Boston University Study Abroad Course Load Policy.
- Boston University students only
- A foundation in Japanese language is strongly recommended
- Keio University’s admission criteria require study abroad students to have an overall GPA minimum of 3.0.

Curriculum
Students may browse the Student Exchange Program section of the Keio University website, for a detailed overview of the program. The Keio International Program allows students to study both Japanese language courses and take elective courses taught in English in a variety of subjects including Art & Literature, History, Political Science, and Economics. Elective courses are taught in English at the International Center.
Academic culture may be very different at a partner institution; Keio University provides a rigorous academic experience to both local and visiting students, and you will be subject to their academic policies and procedures during your time at this institution.

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all required materials have been received by the BU Study Abroad office by the application deadline. Decisions will not be made until after the application deadline. Applicants will receive their decision via email.
