The Paris Internship Program—offered in both fall and spring—combines eight weeks of intensive French language and liberal arts courses with a seven-week, full-time internship in a variety of different organizations including NGOs, art galleries, start-ups, schools or hospitals. Curriculum
The program is structured in two phases: an 8-week Core Phase where students may take a French language course and two electives based on their proficiency, followed by a week break, then a 7-week Internship Phase involving full-time placements in fields like the arts, business, film, communications, or health & human services.

Housing & Student Services
Students choose to live in a program residence or with a French host, subject to availability of each option in a given term. Program Residence allows students to have more independence and a local homestay provides an immersive linguistic and cultural experience.
Local Homestay
- Individual bedrooms in local host home
- Each room includes a bed, a desk, and storage space
- Linens are provided and washed regularly
- Kitchen access is allowed with reserved space in cabinets and refrigerator, and full use of the appliances to prepare meals
- Board not included but students eat 1 meal/week with host. No stipend.

This program is rolling admissions; applications are reviewed once all application materials are received, prior to all deadlines. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all required materials are received by the BU Study Abroad office. Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible as some programs and internship tracks have limited space and may fill up before the deadline. Submitting a complete application prior to the application deadline, does not guarantee acceptance. Students will be emailed an admissions decision within three weeks of a completed application.

Cost & Financial Considerations
- 2025/2026 Tuition & Fees: $27,462 per term
- Cost includes tuition, housing, program related activities, administrative fee, overseas medical insurance, and emergency evacuation coverage
