Boston University, Paris

Boston University, Paris is home to a variety of different programs.

The Paris Internship Program is a 16-week semester program for undergraduates who wish to improve their French and gain international work experience.  The first eight weeks are dedicated to improving your French through language classes and liberal arts courses in politics, economics, art history, literature and civilization.  The following eight weeks are spent in a full-time internship in a wide variety of French and multinational institutions and businesses.  This program is also offered in the summer for 8-weeks with a full-time internship and a choice of 1 of 3 liberal arts courses taught in the early evening.

Starting in Fall 2010, the Paris Contemporary Studies  Program combines immersion in contemporary cultural study at the Université Paris 8 (Vincennes—Saint-Denis), with equal immersion in the artistic and intellectual life of this exciting city and the full co-curricular program and student life support of BU’s Paris Center.

The exchange between Boston University and Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) makes it possible for well-qualified Boston University students to study at Sciences Po for one academic year, normally in their junior year.

Boston University, in conjunction with the Université de Paris IX-Dauphine, offers a  Spring semester Paris Management Internship Program. The program consists of two management courses, a seminar on the history, economy, and politics of the European Union, and an internship for credit (which will most likely fulfill a liberal arts level B requirement).

The Paris team is here to ensure that you get as much out of your time here as possible.  We supervise your academics, find you an internship, manage your housing, and organize various cultural activities.

Since its inception in the summer of 1989, BU Paris  has shepherded over 1,750 students.
