BUnano Symposium: Stefan Hell

BUnano will hold its inaugural Annual Symposium on May 2, 2017. The symposium will feature the keynote presentation by 2014 Nobel Prize winner for Chemistry, Stefan Hell. Professor Hell is the Director of the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Director of Optical Nanoscopy at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg, Germany. The Royal Swedish Academy has honored Stefan Hell with the Nobel Prize for his invention of the STED (Stimulated Emission Depletion) microscopy which has revolutionized light microscopy and proved particularly useful for investigating diseases and live cells. The full program of the symposium will be announced in Spring 2017.
