About Summer Pathways
Summer Pathways is an opportunity for young women to discover the infinite possibilities that await them in scientific fields. The 2009 session runs from July 10-17. For the duration of the program, students will live in a Boston University dormitory; room and board is included. Experience a week packed with exploration, discovery, meeting new people and fun!
Combining field trips with hands-on activities, a taste of college life with valuable advice from career and college admissions experts, plus plenty of good old-fashioned fun, Summer Pathways is an experience quite unlike any other.
Summer Pathways targets young women from high schools in the greater Boston area who will be entering their junior or senior year in September and who show promise and/or interest in science, math or engineering. Program participants will meet with undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, and members of industry from across disciplines, and will be given plenty of opportunity to ask questions and find out more information about various careers and the college admission process.
The cost of the seven-day program is $575 inclusive of room and board. Scholarships of up to $500 are available to qualified candidates with demonstrated financial need. |
