Orientation Overview
Orientation is your first week with the BUDC program and is a mix of informational sessions and also activities in Washington. While the exact schedule changes with each semester, we make it a point to take students to different places throughout the city. As we get closer to the beginning of the semester, we will make sure to send you a copy of the detailed schedule.
Past Orientation Weeks have included:
- Eating at Ben’s Chili Bowl
- Touring the US Capitol
- Eating at Florida Avenue Grill, the oldest soul-food restaurant in the World
- Lunch at Good Stuff Eatery
- Trolley Tour of DC
- A meal at Busboys and Poets
- Duck Tour of DC
- Lunch at Taylor Gourmet, a Hoagie place that President Obama has frequented
- A walking tour of the monuments
- Paddle boating in the Potomac
