Diane Baker, a 60-year-old Dallas native, spends a cold January day cleaning the streets of D.C. as punishment for her arrest in September after crossing a police line to sit on the steps of the Senate in protest of the Iraq war. Baker has a hereditary central nervous system disorder that causes a progressive decrease in muscle control.
Erie Residents Attend Anti-War Protests in Washington, DC
Two buses and two carloads of war protesters left Erie before the sun came up to join more than 100,000 people in an anti-war march at our nation’s capital. Brittany Oat marched along with a group from the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Erie.
