April 11. During the two-day event. 30 multidisciplinary student teams developed AI models to tackle three pressing biomedical challenges—early stage lung cancer phenotyping, Amyloid PET quantification for Alzheimer's disease, and detection of acute tubular injury from kidney proteomics data. The hackathon underscored the power of convergent research to turn student innovation into potential contributions for peer-reviewed publications and improved patient care.
