Launchpad Launches
The 31 students serving as BU’s first cohort of Launchpad interns pose for a group photo at the Duan Family Center for Computing & Data Sciences during their orientation on June 8. During the four-day orientation, coordinated by the Center for Career Development (CCD), the students strengthened key professional skills—including communication, networking, and workplace readiness—and met with mentors and career coaches to explore their professional goals and pathways. The rising sophomores are now engaged in 10-week internships with employers across the Boston area, including GBH, Museum of Science, Boston Medical Center, and various city government and nonprofit organizations. The cohort will reconvene at the CCD on August 14 for a capstone session to reflect on their experiences and plan the next steps for their professional development. Photo by Jake Belcher
