Career Exploration Day, a Boston Public Schools/BU Collaboration
Boston’s New Mission High School students toured Boston University’s Medical Campus February 19, part of a Career Exploration Day hosted by BU. The goal of the day: exposing students to the wide range of careers available in health, science, and research. They gained firsthand insight into the cutting-edge work in laboratories and heard directly from faculty, researchers, graduate students, and lab managers about their unique career journeys. Here they’re visiting the Integrative Cardiovascular Metabolism and Pathophysiology Program (iCaMP), where Lauren Arguilla (ENG’29) (center) talked about her iCaMP work. The event was organized by the Boston Public Schools Mentoring Department and BU’s Government & Community Affairs. Photo by Fernando J. Fortin
