Boston University’s Terriers CARE Team is a multidisciplinary group of campus professionals dedicated to identifying, assessing, and responding to students, faculty, staff, or visitors whose behavior may pose a threat to themselves or others, or otherwise disrupt the safety and well-being of the campus community.

Terriers CARE proactively gather information, conduct threat or risk assessments, coordinate interventions, and connect individuals of concern to appropriate resources and support services, all while respecting privacy and due process. The ultimate goal is to prevent harm, promote early intervention, and maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive educational environment.

Terriers CARE consists of two overlapping committees, the Student Committee and Faculty/Staff Committee.
