Ryan Cornelius
Graduate Student, Ph.D. Program in Bioinformatics
Ryan is a PhD student in bioinformatics and is interested in studying microbial communities in the context of human disease as well as climate change. He graduated from Boston University (May 2020) with his degree in physics. Prior to joining the bioinformatics program he studied nonlinear dynamics with Prof. Kirill Korolev, completing his honors thesis on modeling the growth of microtubule asters in frog embryos. Currently he works on studying microbe-microbe and microbe-host interactions through association networks as a part of the DECAMP (lung cancer) study. Outside of work Ryan loves long distance hiking, surfing, skiing and skateboarding as well as film photography and sewing.
