Franziska Kratzl

Franzi joined the Segrè lab in February 2024 as a Postdoctoral Associate to delve deeper into the ecological aspects of communities and their modeling. She studied molecular biotechnology and industrial biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich. After this, she completed her PhD at the professorship of Systems Biotechnology, focusing on a synthetic co-culture of a cyanobacterium and a common soil bacterium. Outside of research, she loves spending time outdoors, music, and theater.
