Dillon Scott
Ph.D. Student, Bioinformatics Program
Dillon is a Bioinformatics PhD student interested in modeling and engineering microbiome-environment interactions. He discovered his passions for teaching and research while mentoring first-year computer science students at Northeastern and developing computational methods for spatial transcriptomics analysis at a Boston-area startup. As a trainee of the BU URBAN program, he hopes to translate his research into effective science communication to the general public and policymakers. Outside of the lab, you can find Dillon playing board and card games, learning a new piano piece, and biking around Boston.
