
Melisa Osborne
Research Assistant Professor, Graduate Program in Bioinformatics Member, Biology Anti-Racism Committee (BAC)
Melisa has expertise in single molecule kinetics of bacterial transcription factors and in vivo molecular biology and microbiology. Melisa joined the Segre lab in 2016 as a research scientist and wet lab manager. In addition to her research activity, Melisa has been teaching multiple courses in Bioinformatics, including a new course in institutional racism in biomedicine. Outside of the lab, Melisa enjoys reading and writing poetry and exploring the outdoors with her family.
