Job Description:
The Information Sciences and Engineering Division is seeking to add a Post Doc for the Intrinsically Secure Computing research program at PNNL-Battelle. This individual will collaborate with senior staff to execute strategies related to a world class new initiative in Cyber Security. The Post-Doctoral position provides a means of advancing knowledge in the areas of basic and applied research and strengthening our national scientific and technical capabilities. The experience provides the opportunity to obtain substantial professional accomplishment and advancement of individual career goals through a variety of avenues including publishing the results of their work, participating in scientific and technical conferences, and presenting seminars. The successful candidate will work with a team to develop and carry out an advanced research and development program in technology and systems for next generation computing environments. Successful candidates for this position will be involved with assisting in key projects and proposals at the forefront of our developing ISC base and specialize in the areas of defending large networks and infrastructures, self-aware networks, self-protecting systems, autonomic computing, automated system defense, threat modeling, and risk analysis.

Qualifications:
Post-Doctoral appointments are awarded to qualified applicants who have received their doctoral degree within the past five years from an accredited college or university or who will be successfully completing a PhD in the next 6 months in computer science or a related field.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated leadership, networking, organizational, communications, and team work building skills coupled with the desire and ability to help generate future research directions. A publication record is strongly preferred.   Candidates must be able to obtain a DOE “Q” security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years from an accredited college or university.
