Announcing the Inaugural Fr. Machozi Colloquium
The inaugural Fr. Vincent Machozi Colloquium will be held at Boston University School of Theology February 26-28, 2026.
The theme of the inaugural colloquium is “Ecologies of Peacemaking.”
We will bring together scholars and practitioners situated in various contexts in the African continent to reflect on conflict and the process of peacemaking in a changing environment. Through panel presentations and discussions, this conference will consider the role of religious communities and congregations in pursuing justice with peace amidst significant social and political conflicts related to changing environments.
Colloquium Description
Social conflict, economic inqualities, and environemtal degradation are intertwining global challenges. The two-day conference "Ecologies of Peacemaking" in honor of Fr. Vincent Machozi, AA ('15) will bring together scholars and practitioners from various international contexts affected by these major challenges. Through panel presentations and discussions, this conference will consider the role of religious communities and congregations in pursuing justice with peace amidst significant social and political conflicts related to changing environments.
