4TH WITNESS:
COUNSEL FOR
they were operated on
a number of times
What kind of operations were these
Their ovaries and gonads
were removed
Did the patients die
PETER WEISS
If
they didn't die during the experiment
they died soon after
After a few weeks the girls
had changed completely
They looked like old women
Could you
tell us if any of the accused present
took part in these experiments
All the doctors came together daily
in their quarters
It would seem likely that at the least
they knew what was going on
THE DEFENSE: We strenuously object
to loose allegations of this kind
The mere fact that our clients
were in the vicinity when these events occurred
by no means
implicates them as accessories
JUDGE:
Would the witness
tell us what other experiments were undertaken
4TH WITNESS:
[Remains silent]
COUNSEL FOR
THE DEFENSE:
It
is our opinion
PROSECUTING
that because of the witness' obvious ill-health
she is incapable
of providing the court with credible evidence
ATTORNEY:
Could you
describe for the court other experiments
which you witnessed yourself
4TH WITNESS: A syringe
with a tube attachment
