New Leadership for the BU PA Program

Susan White, MD, director of the Physician Assistant Program within Graduate Medical Sciences since 2019, announced last year that she would be stepping down from the role at the end of June. The Associate Program Director and Director of Didactic Education Aliza Stern, MMSC, PA-C, has accepted the directorship position, effective July 1, 2025.
Aliza Stern, MMSC, PA-C is currently an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and a dermatologist at Boston Medical Center. She joined the PA program in 2016 as the Associate Director of Clinical Education and became the Director of Didactic Education in 2019, and the Associate Program Director in 2024. She received her BA in behavioral neuroscience from Lehigh University before attending Yale University School of Medicine PA Program, through which she obtained her Master of Medical Science degree. Her clinical practice has been in ObGyn and dermatology. She currently practices dermatology one day a week at Dorchester House Community Health Center. Professor Stern also serves as an accreditation site visitor and sits on the reconsideration panel for the ARC-PA.
We thank Dr. White for her many years of leadership and contributions to our community and congratulate Professor Stern on her new role! We are confident the BU PA Program will continue to grow and prosper under Professor Stern’s leadership.
