Graduate and Program Outcomes
- The BU Orthopedic Residency supports the missions of Boston University, the Sargent College Department of Physical Therapy, and BUPTC.
- The residency program is sustainable for the BUPTC and the Sargent College Department of Physical Therapy.
- The program will prepare residents to become autonomous practitioners who are prepared to serve as a primary care providers for patients presenting with neuromusculoskeletal disorders.
- The resident will develop the skills to become proficient in critical, reflective, innovative and evidence based thinking utilizing the biopsychosocial model.
- Residents demonstrate proficiency in knowledge and skill required for specialist orthopaedic clinical practice and lifelong learning.
- The program achieves and maintains ABPTRFE accreditation.
Resident Outcomes
- The BU Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency achieved initial accreditation from ABPTRFE on 9/23/23.
- Total Enrollment since candidate status granted: 6
- Graduates thus far: 4 (100% pass rate)
- Current residents in program: 2
- Pass rates for Clinical specialty exam (OCS): 100%
