Research from MSSP’s industry partnership with Alira Health and FORWARD has been accepted for a poster presentation at ACR Convergence 2026, the American College of Rheumatology’s annual meeting.

The study examines the relationship between obesity and the initiation of chronic opioid use in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. The poster will be presented in Orlando this November and included in the conference’s virtual poster gallery.

Congratulations to the full research team, with special thanks to partner lead Minjee Park; MSSP alum and partner employee Jianing Yi; MSSP students Hyungu Lee and Phoenix Stout; and MSSP faculty member Fotios Kokkotos, who led MSSP’s work on the project. All are coauthors of the research.
