Gray Receives the Okawa Prize
Research Professor Robert Gray received the 2020 Okawa Prize in recognition of his “seminal research in information coding theory and data compression, and enormous contributions to the promotion of diversity in engineering education.” The Okawa Prize, “intended to pay tribute to and make public recognition of persons who have made outstanding contributions to the research, technological development and business in the information and telecommunications field, internationally,” is awarded by the Okawa Foundation for Information and Telecommunications.
