MET CS693 VLab Guide
Access Instructions
To open the CS693 Virtual Lab, you have to install the Citrix Workspace App. This software will allow you to access the OSForensics software.
- Download and install the Citrix Workspace App for your system.
- Open the software and select Add Account.
- On the “Add Account” window, enter metvlab.cloud.com in the text field, then click Add.
- Log in with yourFULL BU email (including the @bu.edu portion).
- The first time you log in to the VLabs you need to set-up multi-factor token authentication with your phone.
- Once you have your Password token, enter your BU email and password, along with the passcode generated from your mobile device.
- From the “Desktops” tab, select CS693-VLAB.
- Click on Read/write access on the prompt so you can save your files to your computer.

Opening OSForensics
To open the OSForensics software you need to use an account with special permissions.
- Right click the OS Forensics icon and choose Run as Administrator.
- Enter .\labtech as the username and the password provided by your instructor.
