Collaboration Between Davies Gilmore Labs Profiled in CAS News
An August 2026 Science Advances paper that involved a collaboration between MCBB program faculty members Dr. Sarah Davies and Dr. Tom Gilmore was recently profiled in the CAS News. This research used molecular approaches aimed at understanding how certain corals attempt to respond to recent stress caused by warming oceans.
This study was led by Dr. JK Da’Anoy, a recent Biology PhD graduate of the Davies Lab and first author on the publication. The research also included several undergraduate students from Davies’ Marine Physiology and Climate Change course, as well as students from an NSF-REU directed by Gilmore.
