NeuroBrace is developing a cost-effective, mass-producible tremor suppression device aimed at reducing arm tremors in patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

NeuroBrace is developing a cost-effective, mass-producible tremor suppression device aimed at reducing arm tremors in patients with neurodegenerative diseases. The wearable device utilizes IMUs to detect tremors in real-time and employs electro-permanent magnets and a silicone bladder filled with magnetorheological fluid to stabilize the affected limb. This non-invasive, portable solution offers an alternative to traditional treatments like medication or deep brain stimulation, which can be costly or have significant side effects. Collaborating with a neurorehabilitation clinician, the team plans clinical trials to refine the device’s comfort, functionality, and usability, ensuring it meets clinical needs and improves users’ quality of life.
