JoHil eKlinics integrates the eDok platform into a hybrid care model designed specifically for rural and peri-urban communities in Ghana. In many parts of Ghana, medical specialists are concentrated in urban centers, making it difficult for rural populations to access care—particularly for chronic and non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension that require regular follow-up. JoHil eKlinics addresses this gap by combining the telemedicine capabilities of the eDok app with physical mini-clinic sites. These clinics host rotational specialty days focused on specific conditions (for example, diabetes or hypertension clinics), allowing patients to receive consistent monitoring and specialist input without the burden of long travel times or high costs.
