“Dry Land” Play

With the current political climate and current Supreme Court, a woman’s right to chose is currently at risk of being taken away. Women’s bodies have been policed for way too long; this is a problem. Sexual health and sexual education are still incredibly stigmatized in our society; this is also a problem. “Dry Land” shows the cruel reality of what happens when you do not have access to safe abortions, and the cruel reality of what happens when you do not have access to proper sexual healthcare and sexual education. We are doing this play as a call to action, and believe it needs to be done right now. We will also be focusing on accessibility to a larger community, and not charging admission. We will be asking for Pay-What-You-Can-Donations to Planned Parenthood; we have already researched how to set up a GoFundMe Page specifically connected to our event that fundraises money directly to Planned Parenthood Boston.
