Introducing Innovate@BU’s Brand-New Student Ambassadors
At Innovate@BU, we believe that innovation thrives when fueled by curiosity, passion, and collaboration. That’s why we’ve introduced our student ambassadors—your go-to peers for all things Innovate@BU. These ambassadors are more than just student representatives—they’re experienced innovators who have been in your shoes. Here’s how they can help you:
- Answer Questions: Get insights into Innovate@BU’s programs, opportunities, and resources.
- Provide Guidance: Learn how to develop your ideas and turn them into reality.
- Offer Support: Share feedback and find out how to make the most of your Innovate@BU experience.
- Build Community: Connect with like-minded peers and join our vibrant community of innovators.

Megan Kwan (CFA’27)
Drop-in Hours: Mondays, 1 PM to 4 PM
First up we have Megan Kwan, a sophomore majoring in Painting and minoring in Entrepreneurship. An alumna of Innovate@BU’s First Year Innovation program, Megan developed 4Rtists, an initiative focused on providing sustainable and accessible art supplies for BU students. She’s passionate about exploring the Boston art scene and is eager to connect with new people with exciting ideas!
Mya Kelly (CAS’27)
Drop-in Hours: Wednesdays, 3 PM to 6 PM
Next we have Mya Kelly, a sophomore majoring in Psychology and minoring in both Applied Human Development and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Active within Innovate@BU, she has participated in the First-Year Innovation Fellowship, Idea Incubator, and collaborates with the startup Popple through the Innovation Pathway. Mya’s dedication to education and accessibility led her to establish the Rise Foundation, which focuses on expanding financial literacy and mental health information access for African American students.
Dr. Sanjiv Gupta (SPH’25)
Drop-in Hours: Thursdays, 1 PM to 4 PM
Our third student ambassador is Sanjiv Gupta who is pursuing Healthcare Management as a Fulbright Scholar at Boston University School of Public Health. During the 2024 Summer Accelerator, he launched Rx Healthcare to improve access in underserved regions of Nepal. He’s now building a U.S.-based startup targeting chronic health issues in immigrant communities. As a 2024-25 Innovate@BU Ambassador, Sanjiv leads upcoming cross-university healthcare mixers and hackathons, bringing together leaders in health and tech.
Jeremiah Somoine (CAS’27)
Drop-in Hours: Fridays, 12 PM to 3 PM
Our next student ambassador is Jeremiah Somoine, a sophomore studying Computer Engineering. He participated in the FYIF last year and is currently in the Innovation Pathway. Apart from his involvement with Innovate@BU, Jeremiah is active in Spark!, NSBE, and StuGov. He’s excited to answer any questions you might have about Innovate@BU and his other campus activities.
Nevaeh Calliste-Williams (COM’26)
Drop-in Hours: Tuesdays, 2 PM to 5 PM
Then, we have Nevaeh Calliste-Williams, a junior at the College of Communication, majoring in Media Science. She is the founder of two startups in the Innovation Pathway and aims to create meaningful change in the community. Nevaeh is eager to share her experiences and help you explore the opportunities available through Innovate@BU.
Richard Casimir (QST’27)
Drop-in Hours: Sundays, 5 PM to 8 PM
Last but not the least is Richard Casimir, a second-year student studying Business Administration. He has participated in the Enlight Social Incubator and the First Year Innovation Fellowship. Richard is passionate about spreading financial literacy to underrepresented communities. He invites you to ask any questions you have about Innovate@BU and how you can get involved.
