Materials Science Core Facility (MSCF)

The Materials Science Core Facility (MSCF) focuses on materials characterization. It features processing hoods for materials preparation and equipment for X-ray crystallography, atomic force microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy.

The MSCF is one of the shared laboratories supporting Boston University’s photonics research community, which spans the Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medicine, Physics, and Psychological & Brain Sciences departments.
