Plumage - greenish blue

Bill - white

Legs - pale purple

Wing - dark brown


Black-faced Firefinch (Lagonosticta larvata)

Host song mimicry: (Payne 1973, 1996)

Mimicry songs include slurred whistles that are given in series of three, four, or more. Also mimics a “dwit-it-it” alarm call and a “seesee” contact call.
