Ajay Joshi received PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2009 and a Visiting Research Scientist at Google from 2017 to 2018. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Boston University (BU). He received the Google Faculty Research Award 2018 and 2019, Best Paper Award at ASIACCS 2018, the BU ECE’s award for Teaching Excellence in 2014, and NSF CAREER award in 2012. Broadly, his research interests include computer architecture, security, digital VLSI, and silicon photonics.

Postdoctoral Researcher

Avinash Mohan received PhD from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where he was advised by Prof. Anurag Kumar and was a member of the Network Architecture Lab (NetArch), and his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. He is currently a postdoctoral researchers in the Integrated Circuits and Systems Group (ICSG) at Boston University. Prior to this, he was at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, where he was advised by Prof. Shie Mannor and a member of the Reinforcement Learning Research Lab. His research interests lie broadly in Reinforcement Learning, Control Theory, and Communication Networks.

Cansu Demirkiran received her B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2019. Chathura Niroshan received his B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in 2018. He pursued a career in Electronic Design Automation at Synopsys from 2018 to 2020 as an Application Engineer. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Boston University, Boston, MA, USA. His current research interests include computer architecture, reconfigurable computing and hardware verification.

Shiva Raja (co-advised by Prof. Milos Popovic) received his MS in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University in 2006, and BE in Electrical Engineering from PSG College of Technology, India in 1996. He has architected Electronic Design Automation solutions for signoff statistical timing analysis, signal integrity, reliability, and IR analysis. He recently held a position as a Distinguished Engineer at Cadence and a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Synopsys. He is pursuing his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, at Boston University, Boston, MA. His current research interests include Neuromorphic Computing and Silicon Photonics for computing.

Seyda Guzelhan received her B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2021 and her M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the New York University, New York, NY in 2023. She is currently a Ph.D. student at the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Boston University, Boston, MA. Her research interests include Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) for machine learning security and its efficient deployment on GPUs.
