Tharp joined BU’s Questrom School of Business following an extensive career in human resources, including positions with General Electric, PepsiCo, and Bristol-Myers Squibb where he served as CHRO. Tharp’s research and teaching interests include executive compensation, the role of the CHRO in working with the compensation committee, and strategic HR leadership. Tharp works with companies to develop and conduct executive education for senior management, boards of directors and HR organizations.
