Albuquerque completed her PhD in accounting, her MS and MBA degrees at the University of Rochester. Her research interests lie on the impact of regulation and financial reporting on executive compensation and incentives. Recently, she has started to research the impact of corporate board and labor force diversity on firms’ performance. Albuquerque has published in top academic journals in the fields of Finance, Management and Accounting and her work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal. Prior to becoming an academic, she worked for Bank One (now JPMorgan Chase) and Ernst & Young.
