As a Temporary Program Manager, Sydney Tomlin is responsible for the management and administration of the Berlin, Geneva, Paris, Prague, and Santiago programs.

Throughout her career in international education, Sydney has gained experience in every phase of the study abroad lifecycle. She began her career in Madrid, Spain, on a Fulbright Grant, where she implemented Model United Nations and Bilingual/Multicultural Education programs in local schools. Later, as a Spanish Teacher and Academic Advisor at an international boarding school near Washington, D.C., she mentored students from more than 30 countries. She continued her work in higher education as a Program Coordinator at the Office of International Education at Harvard College before joining Global Programs.

Sydney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Language and Culture with a focus in Spanish and Language Acquisition from Kennesaw State University and a Master of Education with a focus in Global, International, and Comparative Education from Harvard University.

Sydney’s graduate research at Harvard focused on pedagogies of belonging in education abroad programs, with a special interest in students who elect to study abroad in the Global South. As part of the President’s Emerging Global Scholar’s program at her alma mater, Sydney traveled to Monteverde, Costa Rica during college. 13 countries (and counting) later, Monteverde is still her favorite place.
