Julliet N. Mayinja

Director, Study Abroad Operations

As Director of Operations, Julliet is responsible for supporting all non-academic Study Abroad operations in Boston and at our sites globally. Through collaboration with BU Study Abroad academic affairs and Global Support teams Julliet helps to manage compliance, health and safety issues, partner relations and program innovations.

Julliet comes to Boston University from the University of Notre Dame, where she had roles as Associate Director of Notre Dame International (NDI) and Assistant Director of the Office of International Studies (OIS). While at Notre Dame she developed a student tracking database and online application system as well as launching innovative short-term programs designed to appeal to student athletes, science-based programs in Australia, and Notre Dame’s first program in sub-Saharan Africa focusing on Post Conflict Transformation and Development Studies.

Julliet is a native of Uganda, and completed her undergraduate education at Makerere University in Kampala before continuing her studies at Notre Dame, where she received two Masters Degrees, in Peace Studies and Administration respectively. She has traveled to several countries in Europe, Oceania, Middle East, Africa, North and Central America. Julliet is an avid sports fan, especially college football, and also enjoys cooking.
