Boston University partners with International SOS to provide 24/7 travel, medical and security assistance to Boston University students, staff, and faculty traveling on university-sponsored international travel. International SOS doctors, security experts and assistance coordinators are available for medical and security advice, doctor or specialist referrals, medical and security emergencies, or for the latest travel information. International SOS has established partnerships with many international medical insurance providers such as GeoBlue to provide seamless continuity of care from referral to guarantee of payment for treatment services. Emergency services include but are not limited to:

  • Emergency medical transportation
  • Urgent care referral
  • Vehicle accident assistance
  • Directions when lost
  • Secure transportation
  • Assistance with lost travel documents
  • Assistance when detained by authorities
  • Assistance with emerging mental health issues
