  • Contact the International SOS 24/7 Assistance Center at +1 215-942-8478 or via the International SOS Assistance App. The Assistance Center can connect you to local emergency responders if needed.

Then:

  • Assess the situation and any threats to yourself or others.
  • Verify the location and well-being of participants.

Boston University partners with International SOS to provide 24/7 travel, medical and security assistance to Boston University students, staff, and faculty traveling on university-sponsored international travel. International SOS doctors, security experts and assistance coordinators are available for medical and security advice, doctor or specialist referrals, medical and security emergencies, or for the latest travel information. International SOS can provide seamless continuity of care from referral to guarantee of payment for treatment services. Emergency services include but are not limited to:

  • Emergency medical transportation
  • Urgent care referral
  • Vehicle accident assistance
  • Directions when lost
  • Secure transportation
  • Assistance with lost travel documents
  • Assistance when detained by authorities
