Saute, Simmer, Soup / Flavors from Different Cultures (India, Hungary, and Italy)

In this hands-on class for kids, soup-maker Anina Kostecki will teach students how to make delicious, healthy soups to feed the whole family. Children will learn the principles of making stock, flavor profiles from different cultures (like India, Hungary, and Italy), how to create flavors and textures, and how to use seasonal produce to make vegetarian soups into main dishes. Working up such recipes as potato leek, curried lentil, Hungarian goulash, and Italian wedding, Anina will show the class how to make a satisfying and delicious meal—all in one bowl. (Tickets are required for this event.)
