- Starts: 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2014
- Ends: 4:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2014
The Educational Resource Center will present a workshop on learning styles. Our goal is to introduce students to various learning styles, specifically recognizing how we learn individually. The workshop will discuss the benefits of preferred learning styles and how to develop weaker learning styles. Learning Styles Defined: Learning style is an individual’s natural or habitual pattern of acquiring and processing information in learning situations. A core concept is that individuals differ in how they learn. The VARK assessment was developed in late 1980’s by Neil Fleming, a New Zealand teacher. Fleming defines these learning styles: -Visual -Auditory -Reading/Writing or Read/Write -Kinesthetic or Tactile
