
Catie Duckworth
Program Manager, Food Studies Programs
Catie Duckworth came to Boston to study at Boston University in 2019 and has been closely involved with the Food Studies Programs since then. Duckworth is a 2019 graduate of the Professional Culinary Arts Program and in 2022 received a Master of Arts in Gastronomy. In fall 2019, she won the Rebecca Alssid Award in Culinary Arts (granted by the Mary Ann Esposito Foundation) for her research and presentation on Tuscan cuisine. Duckworth has held several positions for the programs, including Julia Child Teaching Assistant, graduate assistant, and course facilitator. Her academic focus is at the intersection of capitalism, diet culture, and body liberation.
