Wine Studies programs at Boston University’s Metropolitan College (MET) are offered through BU MET’s Elizabeth Bishop Wine Resource Center, established in 1996 to promote the development of educational programs exploring all aspects of wine, including viticulture, enology, winemaking, wine history, economics, distribution and marketing, pairing with food, and the psychological, physiological, and cultural phenomena of wine consumption.

Certificate Program in Wine Studies

Taught by experienced faculty from the beverage, restaurant, and wine journalism fields, BU MET’s rigorous Wine Studies certificate offers personal enrichment and expertise for industry professionals, wine enthusiasts, aspiring collectors, students interested in the cultural aspects of food and wine, and individuals aiming to enter the wine trade.
