ENSA Duo Security Support
IS&T has deployed Duo Security to improve protection when accessing pay statements or benefits information on the BUworks Central Portal. Upon enrollment, Duo will prompt you to log in and confirm your identity using either a smartphone app, calls to a mobile or landline phone, or via text messages. IS&T recommends selecting the option to “remember this device for 30 days” to minimize the amount of times you will be prompted to confirm your identity.
Any staff member who attempts to log into the BUworks Central Portal will be prompted to enroll a device in Duo. More information about enrolling a device or about Duo Security in general can be found on IS&T’s TechWeb site at: http://www.bu.edu/tech/duo/. In addition, ESO Network Support staff will be available to provide limited support if you encounter any difficulty enrolling your device or using Duo.
Here are some of the Duo services we provide:
- Device Enrollment – Address issues with initial device enrollment using a basic mobile phone, smartphone, tablet, or landline.
- Authentication – Assist with authentication via Duo Push, phone call, or passcode.
- Unlock a user – If a user clicks Deny three times when authenticating, it will lock their account from further use (this will happen whether it was due to a mistake or fraudulent activity).
For assistance with Duo, please e-mail us at ESO-NetHelp@bu.edu or call the NetHelp line at x3-7328.
