Access to the Boston University Academic Data Warehouse requires review of the information below and completion of the Academic Data Warehouse Access Request form by your manager or supervisor. Please discuss with your manager if your position requires providing analytical review of school or college admission or enrollment data. Obtaining Access to the Academic Data Warehouse

Please ensure you have completed all the steps below before submitting your request for access. 

  1. In order to gain access to the Academic Data Warehouse, you must have a BU Login and Kerberos password. If you do not already have a BU Login, request one through your manager/supervisor or data security administrator.
  2. In order to gain access to the student related data, you must review the Protection of Personal Information Act (MASS Law 201 CMR 17.00) and Information Security Policy
  3. Access to the Academic Data Warehouse provides a user within the University access to significant amounts of institutional data, some of which is confidential. Please review
  4. In order to gain access to student-related information, it is mandatory that all users review the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act – FERPA, complete the FERPA Non-Disclosure Agreement and submit completed FERPA agreement with ADW Access Request Form.
  5. New Academic Data Warehouse users are required to take a mandatory training course.  Please sign up for training below.
